GE12C Joint bearing Joint bearing is in fact a sliding bearing with special structure. The structure is simpler than the sliding bearing. It can bear comparatively large load. Joint bearings are usually used in the occasions where they need lower speed of movement. Joint bearing is widely used in Engineering hydraulic cylinder, Forging Machine, Construction Machinery, Car shock absorbers, Hydraulic Machinery and so on. There are many types of joint bearing, such as SB series, CF series, GE series, and so on. These bearings with a cold forged or machined cup needle roller bearings with a closed end for different applications. They are not only used in the automotive industry for joints of commercial vehicle propeller shafts, but also for other special applications in other industries. SKF has developed universal joint bearings (fig) requiring maintenance as well as in a maintenance-free design. They are available either open (without seal) or sealed and in different sizes.
